Man arrested for death by distribution

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Law enforcement has made an arrest in connection to an overdose that took place earlier this month.

According to a release from the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation led to the jailing of William McKinley Huckaby. He was arrested June 24 and is in the New Hanover County detention facility, held under a $1.525 million dollar bond. 

Officers determined Huckaby was the supplier of multiple illegal narcotics.

They have charged him with death by distribution, along with multiple felonies including trafficking methamphetamine.
