Brunswick County to hold opioid settlement funds meeting early next month

BOLIVIA – On Tuesday, July 6, Brunswick County government will host municipal leaders at a meeting to discuss how to flush out its payment from the nationwide opioid settlement.

A meeting will be held form 5 p.m. to 6:30 pm at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, located at Brunswick County Center, 25 Referendum Dr.

This meeting is open to the public and will preview an overview of the funds, actions on how they money has been used to date and future uses.

Due to the meeting, the Brunswick County Substance Use and Addiction Commission will not hold its regular monthly meeting on the same day.
