WILMINGTON — An attempt to serve a warrant ended in a pursuit and eventual car crash with one driver heading to the hospital for injuries, according to the Wilmington Police Department.
According to WPD spokeswoman Jennifer Dandron, “We were attempting to serve a warrant when the man, Jarvis Davis fled. A pursuit ensued from the city into the county. During the pursuit, Davis ran a stop sign and wrecked at the intersection of Castle Hayne and Victoria.”
Davis was taken to the hospital for injuries sustained during the crash. The other driver involved in the wreck was uninjured but their car did sustain damages, Dandron said.
“Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. We are conducting an internal review to ensure proper protocols were followed,” she said.
