
A Brunswick County man charged with a reported shooting at a bus stop last December was recently indicted on several assault charges.
David Michael Costin, 54, of Winnabow, was indicted by a Brunswick County grand jury in June on charges of charges of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, two counts of assault in the presence of a minor and one count of assault on a female, according to court records.
Costin has been charged in connection with a shooting at a Town Creek Elementary School bus stop on Dec. 15, 2014. He was booked at the Brunswick County jail under a $20,000 secured bond and has since been released.
According to arrest warrants, Costin was charged with discharging a .380 caliber pistol on educational property and striking a woman on the forehead with the gun.
The June indictment is the second on Costin since the incident. He was indicted March 2 on charges of assault by strangulation, possession of a gun on educational property and discharging a firearm on educational property.
Costin is schedule to appear in Brunswick County Superior Court on Aug. 4, according to court records.
