Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a man wanted in connection with a shooting that injured a 26-year-old man.
Deontray Tremel Bryant, of Plainview Drive in Ash, is wanted on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, according to sheriff’s office spokeswoman Emily Flax.
The shooting occurred at Remedy’s Lounge in Shallotte at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Flax said.
The victim was taken to Brunswick Novant Medical Center for treatment. The victim was later booked at the Brunswick County jail for an impaired driving charge, which was unrelated to the shooting, Flax said.
The investigation is ongoing, Flax said.
