UPDATE: According to the sheriff’s office, James Lee Williams has been safely located.
Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a Shallotte man who has been missing for several months.
James Lee Williams, 40, of Evans Circle, has not been seen or heard from in months, according to sheriff’s office spokeswoman Emily Flax.
Williams’ relatives believe he may be in the Myrtle Beach (S.C.) area, Flax said. He last contacted his family via a Facebook post on May 22 and posted again June 2.
Williams has not been seen or heard from since, Flax said.
Williams is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 145 pounds. He has blond hair and hazel eyes.
