“It’s a privilege to continue this longstanding tradition of community grant funding, and we are proud to make an annual commitment to invest in organizations that make a meaningful difference,” JLWNC president Allison Bianchini said. “By empowering these nonprofits, we aim to create a lasting impact in our community and strengthen the network of services available to those in need.”
The JLWNC is a women-founded organization dedicated to leadership training for local women interested in the welfare of their community. The organization was created to uplift women in nonprofit and community service spaces.
JLWNC has supported local organizations like the Carousel Center, DREAMS of Wilmington, and the Children’s Museum of Wilmington for the past 72 years by providing professional and personal development opportunities. Since 1952, the league has contributed over a million dollars in donations and volunteered tens of thousands of hours to community service.
