Wilmington Water Tours is hosting a 90-minute river cruise, divulging all the scoop on films and TV series filmed locally in the last four decades. Hunter Ingram, a former film reporter for the StarNews, is leading the helm, with dates slated for Sundays, July 26 and Aug. 10.

The cruises depart at 10 a.m. and will delve into the stories behind the shows and movies, such as “Dawson’s Creek,” “One Tree Hill,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” and “Super Mario Bros.” It also will brush on recent projects like Netflix’s “The Waterfront” and Amazon’s “The Summer I Turned Pretty.”

“There is no better place to tell the fascinating stories of those projects than on the Cape Fear River, which has flowed through this Hollywood history,” Ingram said in a press release. “On this lively cruise, we may even surprise you with things you never even knew were shot in town.”

In addition, Wilmington Water Tours is doing a horror movie-themed special just in time for fall’s Halloween season. Cruises take place Sept. 13 and Oct. 25 and will take a closer look at projects like “Firestarter,” “Silver Bullet,” “Scream,” “Halloween Kills,” “Sleepy Hollow,” “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” and ““”The Night Flier.”

Tickets are available here.
