WILMINGTON — The concert season continues to heat up with three more shows announced this week.
Greenfield Lake Amphitheater has added a country artist and two rock acts to its 2023 lineup. Tickets go on sale this week.
Morgan Wade
A country artist from Floyd, Virginia, Morgan Wade made her splash on to the country scene in 2018 with her first self-released album “Puppets with My Heart,” recorded with backing band The Stepbrothers.
She followed it up in 2021 with “Reckless,” released on the label Thirty Tigers. The sophomore effort came to be after she performed at FloydFest alongside artists like Jason Isbell, whose guitarist, Sadler Vader, helped shape the record.
Wade will perform at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater on Thursday, Aug. 10. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 28, here and at the Live Oak Bank Pavilion box office.

Blue October
A Houston, Texas, rock outfit made up of singer/guitarist Justin Furstenfeld, drummer Jeremy Furstenfeld, multi-instrumentalist Ryan Delahoussaye, and bassist Matt Noveskey will head through town this fall.
First discovered by Kid Rock’s management in the late ’90s, the group has released 11 albums in two decades, scoring 17 top Top 40 singles, including tracks like “Hate Me” and “Into the Ocean.”
Their latest release, “Spinning the Truth Around,” will be a three-record installment. The first came out last fall, with the second slated for release this June and the third soon thereafter.
The band has opened for acts like Rolling Stones and Goo Goo Dolls. Blue October will perform at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater on Sept. 28. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 5, here and at the Live Oak Bank Pavilion box office.

Switchfoot
The Christian rock band out of San Diego began touring in the mid-’90s and gained mainstream recognition when their song “Dare You to Move” was featured in the motion picture “A Walk to Remember,” based on the Nicholas Sparks novel.
A decade later the band, Joe Foreman, Tim Foreman, Chad Butler and Jerome Fontamillas, scored their first Grammy for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album for “Hello Hurricane.”
To date they’ve released 13 albums and outside of music continue to do charity work with DATA, ONE Campaign, Habitat for Humanity, and others. They also started their own surfing contest, Switchfoot Bro-Am Surf Contest, to benefit organizations that work with homeless children in San Diego.
Tickets go on sale to the Oct. 12 concert this Friday, April 28, here, and at the Live Oak Bank Pavilion box office.
