SOUTHPORT — Downtown Southport has at least three new restaurants under its belt.

From fresh oysters to a classic all-American burger, all three new spots are within a half-mile of each other.

All three are members of the Southport Oak Island Chamber of Commerce, which recently hosted an opening ceremony and walk-through of Polly’s All American Grill.

Polly’s All American Grill

Just five blocks from the water, Polly’s All American Grill opened up shop on Jan. 11. The new restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with bar seating.

Onion rings, burgers, breakfast burritos and hot dogs are among the standout staples featured on the all-American menu. Closed Sunday, Polly’s All American Grill is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Keep up with Polly’s All American Grill on Facebook or on the restaurant’s website.

Moore Street Oyster Bar

Closer to the waterfront, Moore Street Oyster Bar offers oysters in nearly a dozen different ways. The oyster bar’s menu offers seafood steamer pots, burgers, an extensive drink menu, and of course, oysters.

For a late night kick, Moore Street Oyster Bar is open every night until midnight. The restaurant opened in November 2018. Check out the oyster bar’s tempting food pictures on its Facebook page for a closer look at what the new spot has to offer.

Blue Cow Grille

After opening in April 2018, Blue Cow Grille is nearing its one-year anniversary in downtown Southport. The restaurant frequently offers and posts specials, like this week’s blackened shrimp tacos. It’s located on East Moore Street right next to Moore Street Oyster Bar.

The specialty burger restaurant recently began serving coffee and offers a handful of North Carolina brewed beers. Open every day at 11 a.m., Blue Cow Grille closes at 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
