Power outages across city, Wilmington Police urge caution at non-functioning traffic signals

Traffic lights are not expected to be repaired until this afternoon.

WILMINGTON — Power outages across the city are causing traffic concerns and repairs are not expected until the afternoon.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, ‪Power is out for a portion of the city, including the traffic lights at:‬
‪• the intersection of 5th & Dawson‬
‪• the intersection of 3rd & Greenfield ‬
‪• 5th Street ‬
‪• Marstellar Street. ‬

“‪Power is expected to be out until early afternoon. We will have uniformed officers directing traffic at these intersections. If you can, avoid these areas. If you are traveling through these areas, use extreme caution, especially in the rain,” according to a WPD statement.
