WILMINGTON — Just in time for a New Year’s Eve feast, the Fathom and Farm market will open downtown in the Brooklyn Arts district.
Fathom and Farm’s grand opening will kick off Friday morning and run through Sunday.
According to owner Pete Mairs, the grand opening will feature deals on live lobster, bushels of oysters, local seafood, and hard-to-find butcher cuts of bison, elk and Berkshire pork from Hickory Nut Gap Farms.
Mairs said the shop will also be stocked with vegan options.

“We’ll definitely have the New Year’s Eve classics, lobsters, great seafood, but we’ll also have vegan pizzas, we’ll have black bean and white bean burgers, so, lots of options,” Mairs said.
The recent cold snap might delay some addition seafood – including shrimp specials – until Saturday, Mairs said, but the following specials will start on Friday:
- Live Lobsters $9.99 per pound
- Bushel Oysters from $55.00
- Bison Burgers $12.95 per pound
- Local Croakers $3.50 per pound
- Yellowfin Tuna $9.95
- Grouper fillet $19.99 per pound
- Local Clams $4.50 for a dozen
- Dry Jumbo Sea Scallops $24.00 per pound
