Carolina Beach Police ask for help identifying male who may have jumped from Snow’s Cut Bridge

CAROLINA BEACH — Carolina Beach Police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man whom witnesses have identified as having possibly jumped off Snow’s Cut Bridge on Sunday.

Just after noontime on Sunday, multiple citizens reported a male, wearing shorts, but no shoes nor shirt, jump off the bridge. 

“Patrol Officers with the Carolina Beach Police Department as well as other public service agencies began searching the area,” a press release from Intelligence Detective Scott Hettinger states.

At this time the person has not been located, the release further states.

Police are now asking the public to help identify a male seen in surveillance photos from the area of the bridge that match callers’ descriptions of the male.

 “A search will continue with a variety of resources, to include land, water and aerial equipment and personnel,” the release states.

 Anyone with information, of who can identify the person in the photograph is asked to contact the Carolina Beach Police Department at 910-458-2540, via or 911.
