Stephanie Lanier, owner of Wilmington-based Lanier Property Group, has been named to Leadership North Carolina.
Lanier is the only person named to the nonprofit group from the Cape Fear Region. Leadership North Carolina is an independent, nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that engages current and emerging leaders from across the state, according to a press release from the organization.
Leadership North Carolina’s mission is to inform, develop and engage committed leaders by broadening their understanding of and involvement in issues and opportunities facing the state.
“It’s an honor to represent our region in Leadership North Carolina and a great opportunity to more clearly understand the challenges and opportunities that are faced throughout our state,” Lanier said. “By expanding beyond the local level, we are able to have a voice in statewide matters which affect Wilmington, including those buying and selling property here.”
Leadership North Carolina’s innovative programming teaches engaged citizens how to take action to positively influence the state. Overarching topics include economic development, health and human services, education, the environment and government.
