CASTLE HAYNE — Lewis W. Costin, Jr., 67, of Castle Hayne, NC, died Friday, January 30, 2026, at Lower Cape Fear Life Care following a lengthy battle with liver cancer. He had a liver transplant in 2017.
He was born on March 6, 1958, in Wilmington, NC, the son of the late Lewis W. Costin Sr. and Catherine Ann Peterson Costin. Also remembered is his first wife Wanda, who preceded him in death.
Surviving is his wife, Bobbie Costin; a son, Lewis W. Costin III and wife Tonia; stepson Jonathan Halecki and wife Sara; stepdaughter, Jennifer H. Pomictor and husband Ryan; three grandsons; two granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; and five step-grandsons.
Lewis was involved in the electrical field most of his life having worked for Watson Electric and New Hanover County as an electrician and an electrical inspector respectively. He loved hunting, fishing, riding his Harley and camping. Lewis was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was cherished by all who knew Him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society, Lower Cape Fear Life Care, or SECU Family House.
