WILMINGTON — John was born on March 19, 1966 at Dover Delaware Air Base. He passed away at home after a lengthy illness on January 26th. John spent 4 years in the Air Force at Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix, AZ. After spending his younger years in Waterbury, Connecticut he followed his parents and younger brother to Wilmington, NC.
John worked for Verizon Wireless as a service technician for 20 years until his retirement. John and his brother Scott lived together in the house that John owned. They were Felix and Oscar one neat and one a pack rat. At times, it could be a rather challenging relationship. John had 2 cats which he doted on more than he did himself. He was a space buff, never missing a Space Ex launch. It was one of the things on his bucket list that he wanted to see one in person. Unfortunately, he never did get to go.
John leaves behind his mother, Elaine Tiganella and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his brother Scott Tiganella and his father John Tiganella, Sr.
There are no services at this time, but Elaine would welcome friends to visit her at home.
