WILMINGTON — Raymond Normand Bedard, 84, of Wilmington passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 20, 1941, to the late Raymond Joseph Bedard and the late Yvonne (Gilanas) Bedard.
Raymond was an owner and operator of a successful rigging company since the 70’s, based out of Wolcott, CT. He attended Oak Grove Church where he was very involved and was willing to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. Raymond enjoyed working in his yard and gardening. Known as “Pepere” by his grandchildren, Raymond was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Delia (Blake) Bedard; his children, Margy Bedard, JoAnn Bedard, Jodi Bock and husband, Steve, Jeff Bedard and partner, Kelly, Barry Phaneuf, Tammy Allyn and husband, Tom; his brother, Richard Bedard of Texas; his grandchildren, Melea Bedard, Mirjana Bedard, April Wilson, Corey Merrill, Josiah Merrill, Rachel Smith, Michele Chapel, Janine Komar, Nicole Bedard, Jackson Bedard, Jessica Cartagena, Raymond Bock, Jacquelyn Bock, Kirstyn Paradis; all of his beloved great grandchildren; his two dogs, Chloe and Sophie; and a host of other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was also preceded in death by his son, Gary Bedard, and grandson, Jesse Wayne Merrill.
