OCEAN ISLE BEACH — Dennis Ray Fisher, 66, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC passed away at his home on Monday, November 10, 2025, following a brief but courageous struggle with cancer. Dennis was one of three sons of the late Douglas Lee Fisher, Sr., and Sylvia Rae Chandler. He was also preceded in death by a special canine companion, “Lacey”
Dennis was a proud veteran of the US Army where he was honorably discharged on June 15, 1981. Dennis worked at McKee Foods over 30 years and retired as a Senior Software Application Administrator 7/15/21. Dennis was a devout Christian and was a devoted member of Coastal Church, Shallotte, NC.
Surviving are his loving wife and friend of over 34 years, Carolyn Shelton Fisher; two daughters, Amanda Bennett and her husband Casey, Nicole Fisher and fiance’ Matt; two brothers, his older brother Douglas L. Fisher , Jr. and his very best friend and little brother, Donald (Don) Fisher BSN, RN-BC and his wife Carolyn
He is also survived by amazing Nieces & Nephews, Lee & Raelynn Fisher, Christi Plecker, Courtney & Brian Coiner, Chelsea & Cody Carter, Denver Fisher. Dennis had many Great Nieces and Nephews that he loved dearly, great in laws and too many friends to list. Also his special canine companion “Max”
