WILMINGTON — Wade Burnell Jordan Jr was born on June 20, 1956, at James Walker Hospital in New Hanover County, Wilmington, North Carolina passed away on Saturday November 15, 2025, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center Rehab Center at the age of 69.
Wade is survived by his wife, Mary Eva Daughtry Jordan of 37 years, and son Jason Wade Jordan, sisters: Elaine Fowler (Cleve Fowler) and Marlene Robinson; brother-in-law Andrew Saunders, and lots of family and friends. Best friends, Kevin Squires and Jimmy Ham.
Wade is proceeded in death by his father Wade Burnell Jordan Sr, mother Nellie Mae Coleman Jordan, sister Darlene Saunders, brother Eddie Jordan and niece Nessie Fowler.
He was a dedicated and active member of Delco PFWB Church. He was a former deacon and sang in the choir. He graduated from Acme Delco High School in 1974. He sang with the FFA Quartet, winning the state competition. They went to Kansas City and sang for then President Gerald Ford.
He worked at International Paper for 40 years. He also worked at Royster Fertilizer Company for three years while in high school.
His hobbies were golfing with his close friends, attending all sporting events, going to the mountains, going to the movies and theater shows with his son Jason, and spending time with family and friends.
