WILMINGTON — Sylvia Craddock Jarrell, 90, of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025.
She was born in Mebane, NC, the only daughter of Stanley and Frances Craddock. She married Charles Tillman Jarrell of Wilmington, NC on June 2, 1956. Together Sylvia and Charles had three children, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was a member of Pine Valley Methodist Church, with a devoted love for her church family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles and her brothers, Larry Craddock and Bobby Craddock.
Sylvia is survived by her two sons, Charles Tillman Jarrell III (Christine); her daughter, Jill Jarrell Newsome (Mike) and Lee Stanley Jarrell (Ali). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brandee Jarrell (Brandon) and Chuck Jarrell (Ashley), Sarah Newsome (Zak) and Ivey Newsome and Nathan Jarrell and Ella Jarrell. Also surviving are her brother Jerry Craddock and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Society of St. Joseph of Arimathea or Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.
