WILMINGTON — Gerald MacNeil Wilson, born on January 30, 1956, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 69.
Gerald was a dedicated Heavy Equipment Operator, known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his craft. He took great pride in his work and was respected by colleagues and friends alike for his skill and dedication.
Beyond his professional life, Gerald had a deep love for the outdoors. He found joy in fishing and other outdoor activities, cherishing the tranquility and beauty of nature.
Gerald’s educational journey included attending Dobbs Ferry High School in Dobbs Ferry, NY, where he also received his GED. His determination and perseverance were evident in all aspects of his life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Gerald MacNeil Wilson and Doris Orr Wilson. Gerald leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his devoted wife, Denise Wilson (nee Sansevera), who stood by his side through life’s many adventures. His siblings, Maryann Wilson, Elizabeth Thornton (John), Janet Wilson, Doris Perry (Manny), and Colin Wilson (Theresa), will remember him fondly as a cherished brother. Gerald also leaves behind his much-loved and devoted dog, Sam, who was a constant companion and source of joy.
