LELAND — Georgine Montepeluso of Leland passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 4, 1941, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Edna Mae (Meehan) Curtis.
Georgine was a woman of extraordinary kindness whose nurturing spirit and radiant smile brought comfort and joy to everyone around her. She truly cared for people and was cherished in return. She loved to cook and spend time with her family. She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up and was thrilled about the newest addition to the family, her great-grandson.
Georgine leaves behind her loving husband of 64 years, Ralph Montepeluso; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Ann Quattrock and Kevin, Elena Marie Montepeluso, and Cathy Ann Montepeluso-Acevedo and John; grandchildren, Nicholas Quattrock and Carley, and Victoria Kilgour and Brandon; great-grandson, Cooper Jonathan Quattrock; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Curtis and Peter Curtis, and her twin sister, MaryAnn Madura.
