WILMINGTON — Richard Dean Ratcliff of Shallotte, NC and formerly of Wilmington, NC passed Saturday August 2nd, 2025.
He was born in Scioto County, Ohio on February 29, 1932, to the late Everett and Nettie Ratcliff. He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores Ratcliff.
Richard retired, living in Shallotte, NC after years of service in route sales and later in residential general contracting.
Richard was a member of Sharon Methodist Church in Holden Beach and is survived by his daughter Dena Ratcliff Beard of Wilmington, NC; two sons, David J. Ratcliff and wife Sandra of Wilmington, NC, and Richard D. Ratcliff Jr. and wife Deborah of Riegelwood, NC; brother Frank Ratcliff and wife Nancy of Colombus, Ohio; sister Anna Faye Atkins of Colombus, Ohio; brother and sister-in-law Ken and Gloria Larson of Calabash, NC; sister-in-law Peggy Lewis of Wilmington, NC; sister-in-law Brenda White of Loris, SC; six grandsons, David Beard, Trey Ratcliff, Wesely Ratcliff, Taylor Ratcliff, Carson Ratcliff, Casey Ratcliff; and seven great grandchildren.
