Geraldine “Geri” Egner (Andrews Mortuary and Crematory)

WILMINGTON — Geraldine “Geri” Egner of Wilmington, NC passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at the age of 74. Geri was born in Everett, MA on June 3, 1951, daughter of the late Francis L Gaff, Sr. and Rose Teneriello Gaff.

Geri, “the waitress at the Waffle House” in Ogden, enjoyed the people she worked with as much as she enjoyed her customers. Anyone who knew her would know she was a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. She loved her sports teams almost as much as she loved vacationing with her grandchildren. Geri cherished the time she spent with her grandkids. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and taking trips to the casinos with her sisters.

Geri is survived by her son, Jeffrey Egner and his wife, Stacie; 3 daughters, Sheryl Egner, Sandra Egner, and Julie Egner Hall; 6 grandchildren: Jordan, Kendra, Madison, Edgar, Robbie, and Tristan; her sister, Joanne Monteforte, and brother, Frank Gaff, Jr. and his wife, Lois, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister Sandra “Sandy” Anzalone and brother-in-law, Anthony “Tony” Anzalone.

The family will receive visitors from 1-2 pm on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Andrews Mortuary, 1617 Market Street, Wilmington. A Celebration of Geri’s Life will follow at 2:00pm in the Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel.
