LELAND — Virginia “Ginny” Jackson Larson, 61, of Leland passed away Sunday, July 6th, 2025.
She was born October 12, 1963 in Wilmington, NC. She was a daughter of Harvey Jackson and Sara Patricia Williams Magouirk.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ellen Jackson Gulker.
She is survived by her husband William “Willie” Wallace Larson, her daughter Christina Lynn Molina and husband Angel Molina of Wilmington, granddaughters Alexa and Sienna Molina, brother George “Jack” M. Jackson, sisters Sara Hull-Crowell and husband Joseph Croswell, Beth Jackson Mims, Vertice “Deannie” Dobson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Ginny attended Mr. David’s School of Hair Design in the early 90s where she acquired her Cosmetology License. She loved working with hair and everyone who sat in her chair. She worked with Fantastic Sam’s, Lookin’ Good, and Smart Styles hair salons back in the early 2000s.
She worked for Brunswick County Schools for many years as a bus driver between Leland Middle School and North Brunswick High School, participating in the bus driver rodeo for several years.
From an early age, Ginny loved clowning. Ginny aka “Feisty” the clown could be spotted across southeastern NC in various parades with her go kart and her clown family, the Port City Silly Clowns. She got to cut the ribbon for the 2025 Azalea Festival Parade. Clowning and sitting by the water and casting her fishing line out were just a few of her favorite things to do. She was a green thumb and loved growing seedlings and planting in her garden. She always had her fishing gear ready to go. She also loved crafting, sewing and all the things. She could also be found sitting sidebar in the shop watching her husband Willie work on vehicles or playing with their chocolate labrador retriever Daisy.
Services will be held at 11am, Saturday, July 12, at Andrews Mortuary, 1617 Market Street, Wilmington, NC.
The Family will greet friends an hour prior, beginning at 10am.
Burial will follow at Seagate Cemetery on 52nd Street in Wilmington.
