WILMINGTON — Marie Hufham, 96, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025.
Born on April 16, 1929, Marie was the daughter of Roy Sellers and Katherine McLaine. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd “Coot” Hufham and her brother, Roland Seller of Cleveland, OH.
She is survived by two daughters, Rosie Polinsky of Durham, NC and Vicki Hufham of Wilmington, NC; two grandsons, Paul “Stroud” Grimsley, Jr. of Wilmington, NC and Will F. H. Grimsley (Lisa) of Durham, NC and great-granddaughter, Abby Grimsley of Durham, NC and one half-brother, Ronnie (Dale) Sellers of Wilmington, NC. In addition to nephews and Nieces.
Marie was deeply loved by her family and caring and loving mother to Rosie and Vicki.
Marie was a member of Winter Park Baptist Church, Wilmington, NC.
Rosie and Vicki like to thank the CNAs at the Davis Wellness of Cambridge and the CNAs at Bradley Creek with whom they called Grandma. We would also like to say thank you to a very special person who was a caring, faithful, loyal friend who cared for our mom during her illness – Jackie Willis.
