WILMINGTON — Tammie Abbott (Larimore Vickrey) passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, to be with her Lord and Savior, after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who brought light and joy to all who knew her.

Tammie was the heart of her family and is survived by her devoted husband of 29 years, William E. Abbott, Jr; her cherished children Rhiannon Sharpe (Jonathan), Daniel Vickrey (Amber), Zachary Abbott (Bethany), and Joshua Abbott (Casey); and her adored grandchildren and grandpups, Bennett and Duncan Sharpe, and Ezekiel, Rachel, Caleb, and Noah Abbott, who lovingly called her Mimi.

Born on January 22, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Tammie was the daughter of the late Donald and Alice Larimore. She is also survived by her siblings Robert Larimore (Lisa) and Debbie Edwards (Bob). Through her life she lived in Germany, Washington, Georgia, and North Carolina, shaping her into the vibrant, compassionate woman she was.
