WILMINGTON — Terri Lynn Marks, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 66. Born on October 1, 1958, in Norfolk, Virginia, Terri brought warmth, kindness, and joy to all who knew her.

Terri spent many years enriching the lives of those around her both through her career and personal life. She worked as an assistant manager for 13 years at the Go Gas Company on College and Wrightsville Road, where she was known for her dedication, hard work, and ability to brighten the day of both colleagues and customers alike.

In her leisure time, Terri found great joy in pursuing her passions. She loved spending her days fishing, dancing, and bowling, and cherished every moment she could spend by the beach. Her vibrant spirit was evident in everything she did, from her lively steps on the dance floor to her peaceful moments by the ocean.

Terri was a devoted member of Gateway Church in Wilmington, NC, where she found a community of support and faith. Her commitment to her church and her unwavering faith were pillars of strength throughout her life.

Terri’s journey was marked by love and companionship, particularly with her husband of 32 years, Harold “Nicky” Mark, Jr. The two met at the Yellow Rose Saloon, and their love story was one of mutual respect and deep affection. Together, they built a beautiful family, including their cherished son Stephen (Clara Lewis) Marks, and adored grandchildren, Zoey and Travis.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Dock Ambrose and Lela Morris Britt. Terri is survived by her devoted husband, Harold, her son Stephen, and grandchildren Zooey and Travis. She is also lovingly remembered by her brothers, Stacy (Pamela) and Jeff (Laura) Britt, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.
