WILMINGTON — It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Scot K. Jaworowski, who departed this world too soon on June 2, 2025, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 53. Born on May 1, 1972, in Bay Shore, NY, Scot lived a life rich in love, friendship, and dedication to his family and friends.
Scot, a skilled Journeyman with the knowledge of a Master Electrician, supervised and managed electrical installations in numerous commercial jobs on Long Island (NY) and in Wilmington, NC. He loved his work, his co-workers and the people he met along the way. He was well respected and made many friends in the trade.
His passion for boating and fishing began on the waters surrounding Long Island, NY with his father, brother, and his beloved grandfather. On the Great South Bay and in the Atlantic Ocean, Scot’s passion for being on the water as a boater with an expansive knowledge for navigating the waters and sport fishing grew immensely. After moving to North Carolina, his passion did not wane and he shared his love of the water with his wife, Melissa, and his three children. Scot was the epitome of a “Salt Life”.
He cherished every moment spent cheering on his children, Hannah K., Colin P., and Reid S., in their various academic and sports endeavors. Being a father was one of his greatest joys, and he embraced every opportunity to support and guide his children. His children are forever grateful for his devoted teaching of life skills and for imparting valuable resources to help them manage real-life situations.
A great friend to many, Scot’s generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand knew no bounds. He was a pillar of strength and wisdom, always upbeat despite valiantly battling his difficult medical conditions for many years.
Scot was a devoted son to Tedy W. Jaworowski and a loving husband to Melissa (Robertelli) Jaworowski. He fulfilled he and his wife’s dream of moving their family from Long Island, NY, to North Carolina in 2011. There, they have led an extremely happy and rewarding life, even in the face of adversity.
He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Kathleen (Donovan) Jaworowski. In addition to his wife, children, and father, Scot is survived by his brother Ted Jaworowski, sister Karen (Jaworowski) MacLennan, sister Kerry (Jaworowski) Oneta, many cousins, nephews, and countless friends who were touched by his kindness, warmth, and humor.
