WILMINGTON — Dora Fowler Gibson, born on August 30, 1938, in Louisburg, NC, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 86.
Dora was a devoted wife and partner to her beloved husband, Richard Warren Gibson. Together, they owned and operated Gibson’s Accuprint, dedicating many years to their business until her well-earned retirement.
Throughout her life, Dora pursued her passions with fervor. She was a Champion Roller Skater, gracefully gliding through competitions with poise and skill. Her love for animals led her to raise and show Doberman Pinschers, earning numerous accolades, including a distinguished third place in the National Dog Show representing her home state of North Carolina.
Dora was a woman of faith, finding solace and community within the Baptist Church. Her spirit was undoubtedly shaped by her faith, which guided her throughout her life.
She is preceded in death by her cherished parents, Auburn and Bernice Fowler, and her dear son, Lee Gibson. Dora leaves behind her loving husband, Richard Warren Gibson, who will forever hold her memory close.
Dora Fowler Gibson’s life was one of passion, dedication, and love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
