HAMPSTEAD — Kelly House Long, 52 of Hampstead, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, March 31, 2025.
She was born on November 22, 1972, the daughter of Jennifer House Martin and the late Duane House. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ken House, her paternal grandparents, Rainey and Majorie House and her maternal grandparents, Marshall and Nannie Lee Hatcher.
Kelly graduated from John T. Hoggard High School in 1992 and went on to graduate from UNC School of Pharmacy in 1996. She worked for CVS and was Pharmacist of the Year for NC/VA. She went on to get her Master’s Degree in Social Work from UNC Wilmington. She was employed for 8 years at Coastal Horizons as an outpatient therapist for those struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues.
She enjoyed putting puzzles together, shopping and playing with the dogs, Sam and Lilly. Most of all, she loved watching her children play sports. She was often the loudest fan in the crowd cheering for her kids to their great embarrassment.
She is survived by husband, Glenn Long of the home, son, Keegan Long and daughter, Katelynn Long both of the home, her mother, Jennifer House Martin and husband, Seth of Leland, NC, mother-in-law, Mary-Ann Long of Hampstead, NC, father-in-law, Dennis (Skip) Long and wife, Nancy of Wilmington, NC, two sisters-in-law, Betsy Campbell of Florence, SC, Tammy Hershock and husband, Jim Garrett of Charlotte, NC, two nieces, Emmalie House of Chapel Hill, NC, Campbell Mills of Florence, SC, three nephews, Nathan Ely (Hannah) of Leland, NC, Brice Fulahan and Brayden Campbell of Florence, SC.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Derrick Robinson, who cared for her over 25 years and Jill Finnegan, PA, who has been an excellent primary care provider for many years.
