Kathryn Warren Webster

WILMINGTON — After courageously battling ALS for more than three years with absolute grace, Kathryn Warren Webster soared on angels’ wings to her everlasting home in heaven on Friday Nov. 22. Now unburdened by the disease and free of her wheelchair, she has surely danced and kickboxed her way through the pearly gates to be with her parents, Susan Wolfe Warren and Jack Warren Jr. who preceded her.

In spite of any suffering, Kathryn never lost her resolve to practice gratitude for the loving relationships that she had in her life. She leaves behind her daughter Suzanna Simmons, married to Colby Simmons, and her son Jacob Thomas Webster.

In addition, Kathryn leaves the joy of her last 16 months, her granddaughter Maggie Kathryn Simmons. Her siblings Jack O’Neal Warren and his wife Tracey, Elizabeth Kipp Register and her husband David, along with Kathryn’s nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own who will all miss her beyond measure.

Last, but in no way least the love of Kathryn’s life, Tom Franz — the hero that was by her side every day whose steadfast love and care for Kathryn is unparalleled.

To celebrate and honor our beloved Kathryn, a memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Wilmington, North Carolina. Family and Friends are welcome to gather to share memories and stories at Keg and Egg Restaurant following the service.

In lieu of flowers or to make a gift in Kathryn’s memory, please contact the Lower Cape Fear Life Center and/or St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church to make a donation.
