WILMINGTON — Marlin M Snyder, 82, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Novant New Hanover Regional Hospital. Marty was born April 15, 1942, to Milton J Snyder and Marion Snyder in Pennsylvania. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps. He was a tugboat Captain on the Cape Fear River for many years.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 2 sisters and his loving wife of 57 years, Janie.
Marty is survived by his 4 daughters, Kathy (David) Harper of Indiana, Lisa (Tim) Sanders of Ohio, Tricia Ange, and Sara (Tony) Graham of Rocky Point. 10 Grandchildren: Katie (Jake) Anderson, Buddy (Krystal) Harper, Anna (John) McCauley, Timmy (Christian) Sanders, Joey (Amy) Sanders, Tanner (Chloe)Sanders, Meagan (Daniel) Smith, Leah (Ethan) Ange, Cody Ange and Sammy Rangel. 7 Great Grandchildren: Alaina, Brantlee and Bayleigh Smith, Hoyt and Lincoln Sanders, Silas Anderson, and Jack Harper.
Also surviving, his brother, Larry (Wanda) Snyder of Pennsylvania, brother-in-law Robert Millis and many nieces, nephews and friends that loved him.
