WILMINGTON — Rebecca “Becky” Ann Griffin, of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 20, 1982, making her 42 years old at the time of her passing.
Becky was a dedicated professional affiliated with Wilmington Health Associates for many years. Her work was a source of pride and fulfillment in her life. However, beyond her professional accomplishments, Becky’s true passion lay in her family. She cherished every moment spent with her husband Greg, daughters Bree and Baylee all of the home; her mother and father-in law Sherry and Eddie Griffin of Castle Hayne and brother-in-law, Brett Griffin (Stephanie) of Kelly, NC and extended family.
Becky’s warm and caring nature touched the lives of all those around her.
She will be deeply missed by her mother, Phyliss Williams Smith, her siblings Brenda Patterson (David) of Hamstead, NC, Pam Pierce of Holly Ridge, NC; Ron Smith of Lakeland, FL, Mike Smith (Debbie) of Pompano Beach, FL, and Curtiss Smith (Brenda) of Durham, NC, as well as her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Becky is preceded in death by her father, John Gilbert Smith Sr., and two brothers, Gil and Tommy. While she may no longer be with us, her memory and spirit live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
