WILMINGTON — Later this month, a fourth-annual ride is helping shed light on Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder via a nonprofit that offers support to families, children and teens impacted by it.
On Saturday, Oct. 24, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Anthony’s Way — The Road to Kindness will host their Ride for Kindness. It starts at Shipwreck Harley-Davidson and ends at Shuckin’ Shack Oyster Bar.
The event is a fundraising drive for vehicles to participate in to honor Anthony Bellezza, who passed away in 2016 at 18 as a result of an ADHD-related impulse. Bellezza’s parents founded the nonprofit organization in 2023 to dedicate support to children, teens, and families impacted by ADHD.
This year’s event is dedicated to one of the organization’s first board members, Terri Thomas, who was also the education advocate for the organization. Thomas lost her battle to breast cancer last month.
All proceeds will go to a child or teenager with ADHD.
Pre-registration costs $25. The link for pre-registration is the same link for donations so in order to register, type in the Note for the Donor Scroll box “Wilmington Ride for Kindness”. Goodie bags will also be given to participants.
