WILMINGTON — Frances Ann Ellis, a beloved mother, sister passed away on January 8, 2024, in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was born on April 29, 1948, in Halifax, North Carolina. Frances was 75 years old at the time of her passing.
Frances dedicated her life to caring for others as a registered nurse in Home Health Care and County Health Department. Her compassion and expertise brought comfort and healing to countless individuals during their times of need. Her work was a true testament to her selflessness and dedication to the well-being of others.
Frances grew up in Woodland, North Carolina, and graduated from North Hampton County High School in Conway, North Carolina. She went on to become a graduate of East Carolina University, where she further honed her skills and deepened her passion for nursing.
Frances leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of her surviving family and friends. She is survived by her two sons, Jeff Ellis (Mary Ellen) and Phillip Ellis, along with her two grandchildren, Reiley and Luke Ellis. Frances also leaves behind her sister, Jane Jane Lundy (Roger), her niece Samantha Lundy, and great nieces Carmella and Reeza. Additionally, Frances had a special pet companion named “Sugar Bella” who brought her joy and companionship throughout the years.
Frances Ann Ellis will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering dedication to her profession and loved ones will be remembered fondly. May she rest in eternal peace.
