WILMINGTON — Esther May Croke Dorsett entered her eternal rest on October 21, 2023.
She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the youngest daughter of William G. Croke and Lila May Gibson of Rockingham, NC. Including her parents and siblings, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Billy Reid Dorsett.
She is survived by her two children, William R. Dorsett (Judy) and Cheryl Dorsett; special son in law Lewis Cavileer; grandchildren Amanda Cavileer (Daniel Clayton), Jessica Cavileer, William Cavileer, Wesley Dorsett, Kelly D Marshall (Chris); two great grands and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Esther had a zest for life and loved to celebrate any occasion. She had a gorgeous smile that could light up the room! No matter what she was doing, she had a smile on her face!
She especially loved her “girls” – her special group of friends she has had for many years who have also become “family”.
A celebration of life to be held at a later determined date.
