WILMINGTON — Christopher “Tater” Lee Totherow, 40, passed away suddenly at his Wilmington residence on April 6, 2023.
He leaves behind his mother and father, Marcus and Nancy Leonard; two sisters, Nanci Morse and Jyl Templeman (Bruce); nieces and nephews, Linda, Ismael, Matthew, Mason, Colin, Gavin, Brayden, Aliana, Elisia, Jameson, Bobby, Asher, Kaydence and Ellie Mae. He loved being around his family and doing things with them. He also enjoyed experiencing new adventures with his girlfriend, Cortney Cordell.
Chris had many different kinds of sports that he like to play or watch, but his favorite was golf, whether playing a new course of getting in 9 rounds at one of his local spots, you could just about bet he would be there on the weekends. His favorite basketball team was UNC tar heels.
He grew up in Brunswick County, NC and accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ at an early age. He started attending LifePoint in 2017 and attended there until his passing.
Anyone that knew Christopher, knew he had a big heart. He didn’t mind helping when the need arose. He loved sunrises and would often go down to Wrightsville Beach to a Bible study that is held there. Combining two loves into one. Jesus and sunrises.
