WILMINGTON — Debby was born a country girl to John Rhem Jr. ( Poppy) 9/26/1929 – 8/2/2000, and Martha Rhem ( Bamma) 10/15/1930 -07/13/2019, in Lenoir county NC, and began her life on her grandparents’ farm in Ft. Barnwell, NC. The family moved to Wilmington in 1967.
Debby leaves in her wake, husband, Ira. Two daughters, Shannon Hufham (Mike) and Faye Fay (Chris), a son Michael Hines (Alexis) and 8 grandchildren, Marissa, Trent, Lliam, Mason, Aida, Miles, Chay, and Shai.
Debby devoted her life to helping others, and retired as a RN/Case Manager from NHRMC in 2018.
To know Debby was to know Love, for she gave 100% of herself in everything she did, for family and friends.
