CASTLE HAYNE — Joyce Ann Land, 77, passed away Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020, at Azalea Health and Rehabilitation Center, Wilmington.
She was born Feb. 25, 1943, in Lumberton to the late James and Virginia Dare Bozeman.
Joyce, a very strong and feisty woman, attended Cora Grove Church in Willard. She retired after 25 years as a firefighter for the Shallotte Point Fire Department. Joyce also managed Tripps Fishing Center in Shallotte for 41 years.
She is survived by her brothers, James Howard Bozeman, and his wife, Brenda, Richard Earle Bozeman, and his wife, Teresa; sisters, Betty Jean Patrick and Juanita Taylor; and many other family and friends.
Donations may be made in Joyce’s memory to the Shallotte Point Fire Department, 4126 Pigott Road S.W., Shallotte, NC 28470.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
