
SUPPLY — Mrs. Eleanor E. “Evonne” Meadows, 76, formerly of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice LifeCare Center, Bolivia.
Evonne was born Nov. 1, 1943, in Roanoke, Virginia, to the late Lewis Grady and Cleo “Penny” Pendleton Guilliams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Leigh Anderson; and brother, Burnelle Grady Guilliams.
She enjoyed creating craft designs for her home and friends and shopping. Evonne loved the beach and designed her home with a nautical theme. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and was a animal lover who would go out of her way to make sure that they were taken care of.
Surviving are her loving husband of 41 years, Wayne Meadows; two daughters, Cindy L. Price of Troutville, Virginia, and Theresa D. Edwards, and her husband, Tom, of Roanoke, Virginia; brother, Ricky Michael Guilliams, and his wife, Brigette, of Goodview, Virginia; sister, Gaynelle Shay, and her husband, George, of Roanoke; grandchildren, Amy Askew (Tyler), David Price, Mathew Anderson (Monique), Mitchel Anderson (Shaylee) and Jessica M. Edwards (Adam); great-grandchildren, Ivan Hammell, Savanna Price and Elena Morales; great-great-grandchildren, Natalie Anderson and Zoe Anderson; three dear old friends, Janet Williamson, JoAnn Chapman and Carrie Lawing; feline fur babies, Mooch, Midnight and Rusty; and a host of cousins and friends too numerous to mention.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Village at Tinker Creek, 6101 Plantation Circle, Hollins, Virginia.
