WILMINGTON — William John Hofeldt Jr., 87, passed away Monday, April 20, 2020, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 12, 1932, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of the late William John Hofeldt and Lillian Naas Hofeldt. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was a professional photographer by trade. He and his wife Nicolina lived in Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania, for many years before retiring to Wilmington. He enjoyed watching the Jets play football, and loved a good round of golf.
Surviving are his wife, Nicolina Rose Correra Hofeldt of the home; son, William J. Hofeldt III, and his wife, Debbie, of Revana, Ohio; daughters, Laura H. Conklin, and her husband, Marcus, of Wilmington, Susan H. Gable, and her husband, Steven, of Digmans Ferry, Pennsylvania, and Jamie H. Linehan, and her fiance, Chuck Lowe, of Pennsylvania; and nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
