SHALLOTTE — Ivan Tijerina Olivas, 38, died Thursday, April 16, 2020, at his home.
Ivan was born Dec. 16, 1981, in Florida, son of Porfirio Olivas and Minerba Olivas. He enjoyed fishing and working, especially landscaping. He also enjoyed helping his friend who owned a moving company. He was a funny guy who enjoyed spending time at special family events.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, are his siblings, Porfirio Olivas Jr. of Shallotte, Ruben Tijerina of Lumberton, Lenzy Hunt of Shallotte, Christopher Hunt of Lumberton, Esther Olivas of Florida, Griselda Olivas of Shallotte, Patricia Olivas of Florida and Estella Olivas of Shallotte; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to the current health crisis, a service will be held at a later date.
