WILMINGTON — Marilyn Jane Hardy, 94, passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Marilyn was born Dec. 16, 1924, in Hornell, New York, daughter of the late Harold D. Hardy and Bertha A. Livermore Hardy.
Marilyn was a longtime member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and worked as a training instructor for the telephone company.
Marilyn is survived by her nephew, Jon Cook; niece, Jane Sincerbeaux; close friend, Gail; caregiver, Noreen Lenihan; and her church family.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 24, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 25, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel. Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 1403 Market St., Wilmington, NC 28401.
