WILMINGTON — Kristen Paige Winner, 18, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019.
She was born Oct. 12, 2000, in Rocky Mount, Nash County, and graduated from New Hanover High School, Class of 2018, in Wilmington.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Leslie Cliff Winner; and grandmothers, Gladys Jean Cliff and Marie Vlk Winner.
Kristen was a sweet, smart and fun-loving young lady who lit up the room with her smile. She loved animals, enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends at the beach. Her dreams were to explore the world and experience new adventures.
She is survived by her father, Jason Winner; sister, Katelyn Winner; grandfathers, James Cliff and Fredrick Winner; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 29, at Church of God, 246 Middle Sound Loop Road, Wilmington.
