Victoria Tedder Hannon, 66, admired for her culinary creations

WILMINGTON — Victoria Tedder Hannon, 66, fell asleep in death Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, in hospice care after a long struggle with dementia.

Victoria had a passion for caring for people whether family, friends, colleagues or neighbors. She loved to cook and was a talented chef. She constantly fed people and was an artist that painted with food. She will be dearly missed.

Victoria was the daughter of Frank and Thelma Tedder. She was born Feb. 9, 1952, in Maricopa County, Arizona.

She is survived by loving and devoted husband, Sam Hannon of Clayton; daughters, Elle Hannon Allen, and her husband, Ronald, of Garner, and Sarah Hannon Crisp, and her husband, Rodney, of Buies Creek; granddaughter, Catherine Elizabeth Crisp; mother, Thelma Tedder of Smithfield; brothers, Jeffrey Tedder of Henderson and Mark Tedder of Kittrell; and sister, Carol Searcy of Danville, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Paul McKenzie Hannon and Robert Lacy Hannon; and father, Frank Tedder.

Victoria was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and had a strong faith in our Creator Jehovah God and hope for a resurrection in paradise earth. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 85 Powhatan Road, Clayton, with visitation to follow. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, in Sunset Gardens, Henderson.
