
WILMINGTON —Elizabeth Jane Hutchison Lapp, 95, died peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019. She was born Nov. 16, 1923, in Martin’s Creek, Pennsylvania, to the late Walter Hutchison and Sarah Elizabeth Kline Hutchison.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry H. Lapp; sister, Frances Hinkel; brothers, C. Frederick Hutchison and W. Donald Hutchison; half-sister, Helen Gage; and nephews, Donald Hinkel and Richard Hinkel.
She is survived by her son, Robert H. Lapp, and his wife, Vickie; granddaughter, Kate Hiatt, and her husband, Bob; grandson, Stephen Lapp; and nephew, Robert Hinkel.
She graduated in 1941 from Easton High School, Pennsylvania, and worked as a stenographer. She was very patriotic and suffered the loss of her fiance on D-Day. She was a homemaker for her husband, son and mother. She moved to Florida in 1967 and loved living there. She enjoyed travel and was an avid exerciser. She served as a deacon at the First Presbyterian Church, Pompano Beach, Florida, was a member of the Eastern Star, and active in senior citizens groups in Pompano Beach and North Broward County, Florida.

A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 20, at the Chapel of St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
