WILMINGTON — Jackie Ray Eason Sr., 76, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice. He was born March 16, 1942, in Wilmington to the late Jack Eason and Mary Drew Eason.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Cameron Eason, three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his three children, Lynn Hooks (Billy), Vicki Eason and Jackie Eason Jr. (Patti); one brother, Larry; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Jackie was a truck driver, fence installer and cab driver. He also served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26, at Andrews Hampstead Chapel, 17730 Highway 17 N., Hampstead. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, at Andrews Hampstead Chapel. Burial will follow in Sea Lawn Memorial Park.
