WILMINGTON — Clarence David ‘Bud’ Brehmer Jr., 85, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2018. He was born Dec. 31, 1932, in Wilmington to Lucille Pope Brehmer and Clarence David Brehmer, who preceded him in death.
He loved to work in the yard. He was a lineman for 42 years. He loved his family deeply. Also, preceding him in death was his wife, Katherine Loretta Walser Brehmer; sisters, Jean Ekberg and Esther Craven; and brother, Kenneth Ray Brehmer.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Brehmer Wilson, and her husband, Robert; son, David Joe Brehmer, and his wife, Lorraine; five grandchildren, David Michael, Brad, Grace, Amanda and Katelyn; and six great-grandchildren Benjamin, Elisa, Josiah, Brooks, Gavin and Harper.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 26, at the funeral home with interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park with military honors.
