HAMPSTEAD — Philip Tilton Rowe, 87, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter.

Phil was born June 17, 1931, in Nashua, New Hampshire, son of the late Francis Robert Rowe and Dora Baraby Rowe.

He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Francis Rowe; and one brother and one sister.

Phil proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and a founding member of the Harbor Village Yacht Club. He spent his entire working career in sales in the laundry and dry cleaning industry, which led up to his sole proprietorship of Intracoastal Screen Printing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Jacqueline Evelyn Rowe; grandson, Brenden Thomas Rowe of Colorado; daughter-in-law, Nancy Murphy, and her son, Colby Brown; and one great-grandson, Jackson Rowe.

A graveside funeral service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Sea Lawn Memorial Park with Mr. Paul R. Landry officiating. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at Andrews Hampstead Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, it was Phil’s wish, that contributions be made in memory of his son, Brian Rowe, to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 1015 Ashes Drive, #101, Wilmington, NC 28405.
